In December of 2021 I was hospitalized with Covid / Pneumonia for 9 days. Within those 9 days, doctors also discovered a large mass on my left kidney, which I now know was cancer. That discovery led to my kidney being removed about 30 days after being discharged from the hospital. Needless to say, the entire experience was and is the most traumatic experience of my life. How it all played out is nothing short of a miracle. At the end of the day, if I had not contracted Covid, I would not have known about the Cancer. God spared my life...over and over again! I am here to tell you, He is real!
So how do we get to 5C14? 5C14 was the hospital room I was in for those 9 days. 9 days of an emotional and physical roller coaster. Thinking what now seem to be unimaginable thoughts, battles with fear and loneliness, and living in a body that did not feel like my own. I ALSO felt an enormous amount of LOVE and support from my Wife, parents, friends, and fam. I also felt God's presence!
During my recovery time, I decided to create music that would reflect my hospital experience sonically. Sounds, chords, and basslines that would express my feelings and emotions at that time. Highs, lows and everything in between. With that said....5C14
